St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School (SMCS) is a member of the Augusta-Aiken Middle School League. All students in sixth through eighth grades may try out for sports; however, players must maintain eligibility through good grades and behavior.

For the girls, cheerleading, cross country, golf, tennis, and volleyball are offered in the fall; basketball, bowling, cheerleading, and pickleball in the winter; and soccer in the spring.

For the boys, there is cross country, golf, football, and tennis in the fall; basketball, bowling and pickleball in the winter; and baseball and soccer in the spring.

All players are required to have a current sports physical form (see below) on file with the school.

Our coaches volunteer their time and talent to help our students learn the rules of the game and to practice sportsmanship. The coaches determine the teams and the amount of playing time each player receives.

The Sports Program is funded as part of the school budget and is subsidized by the Boosters Club revenue. Uniforms are provided by SMCS with assistance from the Boosters Club and are replaced on an as-needed basis.

Athletic Participation Fee
Student-athletes will be required to pay an athletic fee of $30.00 each season of participation. Athletic fees are non-refundable.

It is very important that we--parents, students, and teachers-support our teams and coaches with enthusiasm, encouragement, and good examples.
